Getting to the NEC, Birmingham

Arriving by Car

For those arriving by car, please note the M42 Southbound Junction 6 Eastway Slip Road will be closed from 27th November to 7th January as part of the junction’s upgrade scheme. We would encourage visitors travelling to events during this period to allow extra time for their journey.

All traffic from M42 in both directions will need to access site via Junction 6 and the Southway and delays may be experienced at peak times.

For visitors travelling on the M6 Northbound, please leave at Junction 4 and follow the signs to enter the NEC via Northway.

Please note, the Eastway outbound route will also be closed at Pendigo Way. Delays may be experienced leaving site at peak times.

Arriving by Train

The ASLEF trade union has called strike action across much of the rail network in early December.

Strike action is expected to take place on 2nd-8th December. There will also be an overtime ban from 1st-9th December which may also impact services.

If you were planning to take the train to an NEC event, it is likely there will be disruption, so please plan ahead and visit the National Rail Enquiries Journey Planner close to your date of travel to review your options.

If your route is affected, you may wish to travel via car to the NEC Campus. You can book your parking in advance at a discounted rate with this link.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
